lspci ... you'd know it. intel graphics and nvidia graphics - most likely. :) i
actually don't have any laptop with hybrid gfx. so all my systems work. the
other guy who has such issues does have a hybrid system - it works on all his
other machines except this one.

i am wondering if this is the pattern. as such we don't drive or have much to
do with the actual back-end of this. we deal with glx+gl or egl+gles - what it
runs on is below this layer. though we do bypass down to this layer for vsync
events (direct to drm device).

right now i am trying to find out what is common among those with this
problem, as i see zero issues on any machine i have - across 3 different intel
systems (with different cpu/gpu types and generations), an ati machine (pure
ati - an old core 2 duo laptop) and 2 nvidia desktops. zero issues. :/

i can keep hunting. i can try my other nvidia laptop where it actually uses
nouveau drivers ... but i suspect it'll work too.
