I've had the same problem. Switching to systemd fixed it because this
way enlightenment_sys is not used anymore, and it fixed even my ever
ringing bell at system halt which I've never been able to shut up :P

If I'm not wrong someone fixed it adding its user to a specific group,
but I don't remember anything beyond this, sorry :(
