No - I don't think a consensus exists, and you probably won't get it. The people who want it, need to be willing to maintain it, and the people who don't - don't. But those people who are willing, need to maintain for those that don't too. If that's an unworkable situation, then we should close the bug tracking on sourceforge and force users to submit emails to dri-devel. That's something I can certainly agree with Keith on.
