Hi, What about Cerbere (the 3 headed dog that keeps the Styx river)
Or Charon (the man that drives the boat on the Styx) Or Librarian (the man that keeps the University's Library with all the books in a correct order) my 2 cents Raphaël 2006/8/1, Cabasson Denis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hi all, I guess concierge has more or less the same meaning as janitor. The meaning in french of concierge is not that great in french (most of times, they are an equivalent of magpies, chatting instead of working), much as janitor isn't that great in english. But the point is that the international meaning of concierge refers a lot to luxury hotels (there is this meaning in french too, but it's not the most widespread one). Sentinel is a bit agressive to me, it looks like it's preventing some one to accessing the content of maven's repository. Much as watchdog (or anything close to that) would be. To me, concierge is the most interesting proposal, as of now. But then, I'm only a user there, so my vote doesn't weight that much ;) Denis. > -----Message d'origine----- > De : [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] De la part de > Fabrizio Giustina > Envoyé : mardi 1 août 2006 12:56 > À : Maven Developers List > Objet : Re: [discuss] A new name for the repository manager? > > Hi Fabrice, > > On 8/1/06, Fabrice Bellingard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > What's more, in the French collective unconscious, "concierge" can > > unfortunately have a pejorative meaning. > > ops, here in Italy it doesn't have such bad meaning...
