That might be easier to admin.
And you donate the needed infrastructure for that?

What happens to the money which is put into the big bowl which is passed
around each week?
In Germany we've got a big discussion about this money and the money
from the church taxes, because a bishop used it for living in luxury.

Nearly no money from the church is used for social work, church
kindergartens, church hospitals etc., they are payed by the normal
taxes, even half of churches, the buildings, are payed by normal taxes.
The church tax's and begging bowl's money is used to make he church
richer and richer, so they can buy vine stock, make their banks richer
etc.. And sure, for bishop's bathtubs that coasts 15.000 Euro. Nothing
from this money is used for people who die of hunger.
I'm a so called atheist, not even an agnostic, but even if I should
believe in god, I wouldn't become member of a church.
However, those people like Richard can't change this and it's good that
they ask for donations and that they are helping the children.
The work of those people has nothing to do with the criminal church
mafia.
There is culture clash and questions of Constitutional Law showing :)
The First Amendment of the U.S.Constitution reads:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of
religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging
the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the
people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for
a redress of grievances."
In the United States of America there is an ongoing debate, in
and out of court, as to just what it means in modern times. The
sound byte title tends to be "separation of church and state".
The net result is the church receives no tax moneys. Our
particular fellowship tends to shy away from any offer that has
even the appearance of government support.
