Very tempted to fill the spare slot with a nvidia graphics card. When you say the full output, do you mean from using the ati-driver-installer, as that produces an unstable driver, or from dkms as it attempts to build the module during boot up. if the latter, how ? there doesn't appear to be a dkms build log in /var/log. There was no output from synaptic when installing the fglrx dkms package. Let me know what you want and I'll attempt to do it.
