It could point to a real mailing list (debian-collab-ma...@lists.debian.org). That way, we also have a dedicated place to discuss large scale changes or packaging policies among this set of packages. For example, someone could be motivated to fix a class of problems over all packages, and would like to ensure consensus on the change, and discuss how to best proceed, since the change is going to touch many packages. I'm also not sure that using the 'debian' salsa group for that is the best. This "Debian collab-maint team" would be a good opportunity to welcome newcomers, but if they can't get commit access before they are DDs, it makes it inconvienent for them to contribute. A dedicated team would allow to give access to non-DDs with limited privileges (for example using protected branches). Lucas
