Ok, I see it, the debian/patches/debian-changes-1:4.7.3-2 which was

I've handled the #515489 separately by sending proper BTS manipulation
commands.

I'm proposing the following NMU. Let me know what else is needed:

     xpilot-ng (1:4.7.3-1.2) unstable; urgency=low

       [ Jari Aalto ]
       * Non-maintainer upload.
       * debian/copyright

that should say debian/changelog

           #515489. Delete bogus Build-Depends message.
       * debian/patches/debian-changes-1:4.7.3-2
         - Delete file. Never used (old experimental relict).

do you also remove it from patches/series?

if it was never used in any way, how do you account for the fact that the -1.1 patch has a line adding a build-dep for nvidia-glx-dev, yet when i apt-get source the package, applying the patches, the resulting debian/control doesn't have this build dependency? also, how do you account for the fact that when the source package is extracted it *says* it's applying both patches?
