This seems to be a sequel of the infamous 
a-directory-changed-in-a-symbolic-link-and-moved-from-a-binary-package-to-another-one-is 
-causing-really-big-troubles (see 
<http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/06/msg00515.html>)

Could not reproduce the problem with recent releases (the old bogus 
package version appears to cause the problem)
