Wow. I think that's the first time I've ever seen anyone question the
lineage of GUIs that goes
Douglas Englebart -> PARC -> Apple -> Microsoft
with X11 being a branch off that lineage somewhere. Douglas Englebart
was one of the truly enlightened men of the 20th Century.
