No, I mean LFS as it is, but only using Bruce's default instructions to boot sysvinit. For current post-LFS (both BLFS and my own things) that means not installing unit files - when Bruce updates the bootscripts, I might rip out the systemd files to stop the unwanted unit files getting installed. Now that I have systemd working adequately, the "systemd" builds will be altered to boot systemd from the beginning. Later, these might frop sysvinit and sysklog. I expect that my main systems will continue to use eudev, and for these I'll probably drop acl (for me, only kde needs it) and only build dbus (and perhaps gperf) if it is a desktop system. But that is for the future, at the moment I don't plan to rebuild my server which is running 7.4. Meanwhile, I've got problems with nss - post to follow. ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, dieses Mal als Farce -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
