Raj,

Before anyone can even suggest anything there could be various factors that
might be impacting your performance, so if you outline those, they might be
very useful for people who have had similar experiences in the past to help you.

For eg it would be nice if you could tell us what version of the ARS Server you
are running and what version of the mid tier you are running down to the very
last patch installed.

The versions and types of operating systems count too..

The versions of the web servers count as well.

Version of JDK and JRE that the Mid-Tier is using. What are the browsers
that the clients typically connect with.

What web servelet are you running?

It would be nice to see all of this before anyone could suggest anything. This
has been discussed here several times before, and you must realize that most
people out here on the list are busy with their projects, but still make time
to answer and help the members of the list so it would be nice if you could
take some time as well when you need help to provide that little bit of
information upfront so we get a broader idea of the kind of problem you are
facing. It doesn't help too much if you tell us you have a problem with your
car that runs only a top speed of 80 mph if we do not know what car you are
talking about..

Without all that I could just attempt one shot in the dark.. Have you cared to
adjust your Java Heap Size?

Cheers

Joe

Subject: Mid Tier running very slow

Hello all,
We have our mid tier on a virtual server. Last week, it was working fine and
fast. But all of a sudden this week, it has become pretty slow. when i type in
the url, then the mid tier login page loads but once i enter usename and
password , it says loading userdata.js at the bottom of the page  but the page
never loads .

Where should i look what is wrong with Mid Tier ? Although I did install mid
tier on main test system as well, and it works fast and everthing seems fine. I
looked in the mid tier logs by going into the webserver system , at the end of
the log file it says Reaping Cache Groups.

Please advice what should i do to make it work faster.

regards,
Raj
