BMC -- last time I checked:: Recommended that the Switch connections should
be the same..
I.E  ARS on same Switch as the DB server.
Traversing Subnets, and Vlans is a Drag on performance.

Do some TNSPings and see what responses are you getting ..
I believe you can add a packet length..  like   -l 5000
5000 Bite Packet in a pin
