So it looks like your threading issue is resolved.. now it tries connecting to the web service and fails thereafter.. Could you turn on your plugin and API logs at the time you are attempting to use the web service? Maybe that might give you something to work on.. Also have you checked the web service using any external utilities? There are a bunch of free utilities that you can download and use to test your web service.. I used to use Soap Sonar which has a free version..
