Hi Kjetil,
Progress is being made, just slowly. The current binaries are in my
Virutoso PPA on Launchpad [1] and refer also to the collab-maint
project on Alioth [2] for Debian. The June 25th date I think is the
Debian Import Freeze, so if we miss that (which seems likely) then at
least we have until Feature Freeze on August 27th to get the package
approved for 9.10. Obviously it would be better for all to get this in
via the sync with Debian and I got a mail from Arthur a couple of days
ago to say that he is back working on this, but I don't know what
timeframe he is anticipating.
There are some issues still (e.g. versioning of shared libraries, old
WebKit version), as well as pieces missing completely (e.g. PHP/ASP
hosting plugins, ZeroConf support), but maybe it will be sufficient
for an initial release with just a little work...I don't have much
experience with packaging or the relevant processes/workflows myself,
so it's hard to say.
Some help in testing the current packaging would be useful in any case.
Regards,
Will

You should know that we already have contacts with Debian over this; I'll

Any status on this? It is only ten days to go now for it to comfortably go
into Ubuntu 9.10, so it is really quite urgent...
Kind regards
