Hi all,

I second this: here we migrated from another "active-sync compatible" solution to sogo and decided to not activate AS last year… I wondered if this would block somewhere… and it did not: all our VIP's did switch to native DAV (easy with apple® products and thunderbird autoconfig with correct /.well-known redirections on DNS).

Android users use DAVx5 via fdroid or DAV on their google account.

My 2 cents

Even at the risk of making myself unpopular here, I would like to say that its from perspective point of view a good thing that Active Sync is being removed. Active Sync is easy to set up, but as an interface programmer you are at the mercy of Microsoft. We've been using Kopano (now SOGo) with our customers for a long time, and the (deliberate ?) change of the interfaces has caused ongoing problems. I know the pressure from customers to use Microsoft products, but I hope that new open (opensource) mail protocols will soon appear on the market that will free us from this dependency. Klaus
