This isn't fixed in Hardy. It is still there in the applet and the volume control.
gnome-alsamixer doesn't have a problem, but the gstreamer-based volume control applet and gnome-volume-control still do. I have tried this on two computers with Hardy and it still happens with Intrepid too with two different sounds cards (a C-Media-based Turtle Beach Montego DDL and an Audigy2). I've tried all the patches and spent 6 hours debugging the problem on my own. It seems that the audio driver is giving me random values for volume indicating a problem at a lower level but I am certainly not sure this is the case. alsamixer and gnome-alsamixer work fine. So while the bug may not be in gnome-applets there is certainly a bug somewhere for some of us. ** Changed in: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released => New -- Regression - Volume Control using gnome panel applet and keyboard shortcut alternates mute / % volume during sliding https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/126333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
