xtknight, Could you give us a few more details regarding what you tried during these "6 hours" aside from patching? I'd like to continue to work on this issue, but I've reached the limits of my knowledge. If I could get a hint as to alternative directions I could take in debugging this (based on for example what you've been doing) I could pick up working on this again, and maybe find a fix.
It's likely going to require patching, so really what I'd need to know is all the programs involved in regulating the volume control, both in gnome and alsamixer (so I can compare something that works against something that's broken). If you happen to know any of these programs (or even more specificially, the exact names of the relevant source files) could you post that here? -- Regression - Volume Control using gnome panel applet and keyboard shortcut alternates mute / % volume during sliding https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/126333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
