Ah, I forgot to mention, that I get "FATAL: Could not open '/boot/System.map-2.6.24-11-generic': No such file or directory" before the above message. I did indeed remove kernel 2.6.24-11-generic before. But that removal did not trigger the removal of the ubuntu-modules. So maybe the ubuntu-modules package should depend on its kernel that it will be removed together?
