@tjaalton Yes, the bugs were reported to NVIDIA, and were not resolved.
Kubuntu Focus spent a lot of time trying to work on that with them and
found that NVIDIA is very, very hard to reach.
@dtl131 The bugs have the same root cause, that being that NVIDIA
drivers are being removed by the kernel team and forcibly transitioned
to a newer driver version that breaks some hardware. The exact results
of that breakage are different, but the cause is identical.
There is some effort ongoing in the community to try to get Canonical to
stop this, and as an Ubuntu Developer, I believe that effort will be
more successful if we keep the issues related to the kernel team's
NVIDIA driver removals in one spot. I'll re-add the 535 drivers to this
report, and would ask that you please not remove them again.

The latest version of this package (470.256.02-0ubuntu0.24.04.5) breaks
470.xx users' systems. They cannot use 535.xx
Please revert the change. The previous version
(470.256.02-0ubuntu0.24.04.1) didn't work with HWE kernels, but at least
it worked with the GA kernel.
