The directive given by the SRU team above has still not been resolved,
and now the NVIDIA 535 drivers have met the same demise as the 470
drivers. Kubuntu Focus has intentionally ensured users of some of our
systems use the 535 drivers, as newer drivers cause hardware
malfunctions including broken sleep/resume in some situations on those
machines. Now those users are being upgraded without notice to NVIDIA
580 drivers, which will break sleep/resume on those machines.
Adding nvidia-graphics-drivers-535 to this bug as the same root cause is
behind both issues. I would appreciate if the SRU team could request the
535 drivers to be restored as well, and would very much appreciate if
the team responsible for these removals could acknowledge receipt of
requests for driver restoration.
