Just for my understanding, did the laptop come with 25.10 pre-installed or 24.04? I am not sure whether I can give good advice as this is a factory preset. Maybe the following gives you the required headers (be careful to check whether the preview mentions to uninstall anything and rather abort before proceeding!):
sudo apt install linux-oem-24.04d if above only adds kernel packages and does not remove anything it might also avoid the need to install the evdi-dkms package. Only displaylink- driver and libevdi1 would have to come from synaptics. But again all might be different with pre-installs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2147081 Title: Cannot install displaylink-driver because of missing kernel headers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-oem-6.17/+bug/2147081/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
