Blocking the update of coreutils-from 0.0.0~ubuntu3 to 0.0.0~ubuntu10 is breaking developers workflows on questing due to bug 2111882. Obviously we can work around that by installing from -proposed, but I've lost a couple of hours already wondering what I did wrong, because the rollback to GNU coreutils apparently doesn't fix chroot once it's been pointed to uutils with version ubuntu3.
The issue about main vs universe is absolutely valid, but as far as I understand, it's already present with version 0.0.0~ubuntu3, so what's to gain in blocking ubuntu10 in -proposed? Would it be possible to let it migrate for all the bug fixes to reach our machines, instead of us investigating them again? Possibly blocking again afterwards if that's required. Let me know what can be done here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2111817 Title: coreutils-from is in main but coreutils-from-uutils is not To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/coreutils-from/+bug/2111817/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
