Exactly, I usually just plug the computer into the dock and it starts in
this state (no sound), same with restarts.

I've never tried to replug the TV in the dock, I'll try that when I get
home today.

I'll see if I can test the new firmware/kernel combination, but I don't
want to risk bricking the machine, I'm a linux user, not administrator ;),
but you can do a lot with ChatGPT these days, we'll see.

I'll get back to you with the results.
