I reported the error when it occurred as the popup asked me to do. But I
proceeded with the upgrade and it finished without any problems I could
notice. So the package which name is an empty string seems to be not
crucial for the system.

My guess would be that there is a newline in a file with a list of
packages and the updater tries to install the empty line.
