I can confirm that removing just the kvm_xxx module is sufficient to let
VirtualBox start VMs.

I've added a systemd service at start-up to remove it (since I don't
seem to need/use kvm).

However, this doesn't sound like a generic solution, as not everyone
would be able to do that (or edit teh startup options).

And what about those who do need to use kvm?
