Also experiencing this bug, added zip with journal.txt + prevjournal.txt.
No crash log.
One observation:
After logging in using the CTRL-ALT-F4 to get a new shell, it seems the 
X-cursor lockout happens when there are updates to install. I'm in the habit of 
ending my day with checking for updates and update, but every now and then I 
forget and more often than not the "updates available" and "x-cursor lockout" 
coincide.
Then again, every now and then it happens with no updates to install (but some 
are deferred)
