a) in progress, you are cc'd. e) Unfortunately, I think it is unreasonable from a practicality and SRU risk-adverse viewpoint to backport all the smartcard / passkey testcases from upstream / noble to jammy. This is not a trivial number of commits, as they are mostly many small changes, and some changes come with feature / functionality changes, which are outside the scope of this LP bug, or anything that we would be interested in fixing, and would just cause extra maintenance burden down the line.
f) This request has been added to the testcase in the section "Remove smartcard requirement, and go back to password authentication:". We can test for sure that removing smartcard requirement that password authentication still works. ** Changed in: sssd (Ubuntu Jammy) Status: Incomplete => In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2081129 Title: libpam-sss: require_cert_auth is not absolute, will fall back to password auth on smartcard removal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sssd/+bug/2081129/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
