You can cherry-pick the specific fixes for this data loss bug. Based > on https://wiki.mercurial-scm.org/Release6.7 there are just two commits? > Each of those paths has its own requirements. Progress is currently > blocked since those requirements aren't met. I am very much confused. 1. There is a serious bug in the current mercrurial version, that can lead to data loss, which is especially grave the main purpose of a revision system is to conserve the history of a project. 2. The bug is however not a security bug, but the mercurial team advice strongly not to use that version and indeed present a fix. 3. Now the Ubuntu team present a couple of reasons, why the the critial version cannot be upgraded, so the user then is force to install his own fixed version. 4. If my understanding is correct, this it seems a pretty bureaucratic answer, or a polite version of saying «fuck off» I am sure I misunderstood something. Get somebody enlighten me please Regards Uwe Brauer > ** Changed in: mercurial (Ubuntu Noble) > Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- I strongly condemn Hamas heinous despicable pogroms/atrocities on Israel I strongly condemn Putin's war of aggression against Ukraine.
