I didn't expect any errors in the netplan configuration since it has been working since I installed this server - because I also do not see any erros with "netplan apply" or "netplan generate". some more details/thoughts:
- Immediately after updating the netplan packages to "versions 1.0-2ubuntu1.1" I noticed some warnings about file permissions in /etc/netplan. I changed it as required ( to 0600) I see in the changelog of this package that some security patches have been added that could cause these kinds of warnings. (?) Could that lead to a problem, where the process of generating the final config files in /run/systemd/network has permission problems. I haven't seen any hint with debug options ( but maybe I used that debug feature in the wrong way) - I use LXD version 5.12 LTS (snap) on that server, too There are about 25 "bridge" interfaces configured/created by LXD Maybe lastest netplan has a problem with such LXD's networking features. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2074266 Title: 24.04: latest netplan updates fail to apply already working config To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/netplan.io/+bug/2074266/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
