Daniel, that is why I said to change to suggests *or* to "add lubuntu- default-settings", this means to put it together with other "or" alternatives.
As Simon is planning to change lubuntu-meta in order to provide pavucontrol, I believe this change on indicator-sound is required, because I am able to mark to hold lubuntu-meta, and who provide the change to the indicator-sound is ubuntu-system-settings.
