It has happened every time I tried to do a something else install on a real machine. Unfortunately it's impractical for me to reproduce this for you because I don't have an unlimited supply of real machines.
The original bug I wrote was closed as a duplicate of this one. But reproducing the problem was very straight forward. I had a machine with 3 partitions - /, /home, and swap. I selected the something else install and told it to formate / and leave /home alone. Then it just sat there forever when I pressed continue. No actual formatting took place. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1361951 Title: Ubiquity freezes during partition creation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/partman-ext3/+bug/1361951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
