I'm still able to reproduce this issue on Ubuntu 15.04 with PCManFM
1.2.3-1.1 except that I'm seeing sort_type in [ui] and not [desktop]. It
also seems that this configuration file got outdated over time even
more. That you are not able to find the related file could be a result
that you are using Lubuntu and not Ubuntu. But I would normally assume
that Lubuntu has somewhere a pcmanfm.conf too. But PCManFM corrects the
configuration file if it gets started the first time (to see the invalid
entries you have to use a terminal after login into the desktop). Maybe
the file don't even need to be created at all if PCManFM would take care
of it anyways. Otherwise the file needs a complete rechecking (at least
on Ubuntu but maybe also on Lubuntu).
