:-( next time please post your dmesg logs as a file. I have a pvrusb2 as well and when I hibernate it just doesn't wake up, and I lent it to a friend who had the same issue on his computer(s?) so this issue has been reproduced.
Is this bug possibly related to Bug 105563 in hal (Ubuntu)? Because the USB just doesn't wake up a lot of the times. Bug 118978 has regular old tuners. I think the problem here is that Ubuntu just sucks at waking things up from hibernate. period.
