I'll file a report and post all the standard files if you think it will
help, but this issue happens with other distros as well.  Tried to boot
into gentoo-2012-minimal boot disc and locks up at same ACPI location.
Only way to start is passing the "acpi=off" parameter.

I've tried the bios "fail-safe" settings to no avail, and can't find any
combination of bios parameters that works.  Looks like I'm hosed for
now....
