With trepidation. Downloaded i386 general (and the 'all' ) debs to a clean directory and did sudo -i *.deb. Got errors (nvidia isues). Booted to the kernel anyway and it worked though the screen was sort of scrunched. commented out the uas blacklist. Rebooted to the new kernel again. And the Touro mounted fine and dismounted.
So then I rebooted back to the latest standard 12.04 generic-pae which I normally run, currently 3.2.0-30-generic-pae #48-Ubuntu. Things look normal. And the Touro still mounts and dismounts. So how does that make any sense? How could Touro mount now when it did not a few days ago? I am totally confused. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/901215 Title: Can not mount Hitachi Mobile Pro TOURO hard drive by USB To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/901215/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
