Sorry, I gave you the wrong path for your machine, but there _should_ be a backlight file somewhere if you've got the toshiba_acpi module loaded from the package I supplied. Try /sys/bus/acpi/devices/TOS6208, or if that's not there /sys/bus/acpi/devices/TOS6200.
