There are 29 Mandriva patches, 11 of them touch stage2 (grep /stage2/ *.patch). When applying on top the Ubuntu patches, only 4 apply cleanly. 4 others would apply without Ubuntu patches and one touches only reiserfs_stage1_5. I did not verify the order of the patches, which could help for the last 2, or else they would need more tweaking.
