Thanks for your bug report. Unfortunately, because this bug is not
reported against any package, it didn't get any attention during a long
time. Therefore, would it be possible for you to confirm if you can
still reproduce this bug with latest ubuntu version? The latest ubuntu
version is currently ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala.
Also, you can be sure that there is no interaction between evolution and
nvidia x server settings. Therefore, something else is probably causing
that issue, it is most likely to be a bug in nvidia tools itself, which
has a newer version in latest ubuntu version, which means that this has
many chances to be fixed already.
