Yes, same with pavucontrol. However, it is most prominent up to about 13% volume, then gone (or really quiet) but getting louder with the volume starting at 14%. It's really as if the amplifier was overamplifying the sound.
Also, I believe this only happens when playing with the output controls... not with the playback controls in pavucontrol.
