This bug is alive and well in Karmic dvd tray does not stay open
Karmic alternative cd cut 12th Oct 2009. Completely new install on all new hardware. CD drive as follows: *-cdrom description: DVD-RAM writer product: CDDVDW SH-S223B vendor: TSSTcorp physical id: 1 bus info: s...@1:0.0.0 logical name: /dev/cdrom logical name: /dev/cdrw logical name: /dev/dvd logical name: /dev/dvdrw logical name: /dev/scd0 logical name: /dev/sr0 logical name: /media/cdrom0 version: SB01 capabilities: removable audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r dvd-ram configuration: ansiversion=5 mount.fstype=iso9660 mount.options=ro,nosuid,nodev,relatime,utf8 state=mounted status=ready *-medium physical id: 0 logical name: /dev/cdrom logical name: /media/cdrom0 configuration: mount.fstype=iso9660 mount.options=ro,nosuid,nodev,relatime,utf8 state=mounted The last time I had this problem was with Intrepid. I have a similar AMD64 Karmic rig running updated from Jaunty and the problem (with the same disk - a similar Samsung - and new at the time) does NOT occur. So is it the new install and something to do with the Ubuntu.iso file or is something to do with new Samsung dvd drives? .iso files would be my guess. Any .iso files the same in Intrepid as they now are in Karmic? -- CD-ROM tray closes automatically after eject https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283316 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
