Food for thought. But why do so many billions shout and cry world over? Guna kara vibhaga. All men and women have suppressed killing instincts. Minority turns dhadhas. You want to punch and internally curse so many. But under the garb of decency you suppress it all. When legally, a man pushes down a few and hits a goal; when a ball is sent to six; when a volley hits the heads of the opponent; when some one springs on the legs and hold tight in Kabaddi; when in the Mike stralin shouts we are all tamils; when in thiruvizha sung ammano samiyo; when the tennis ball is just dropped near the net where the opponent runs breathless; when the boxer jabs the nose; when Rajni punches 101 persons in 30 seconds but with 10 iron hits surviving; well that suppressed killing instinct blows out. Do we do such a thing in chess? Why not? Because, we don't get the punches to understand. We see in films James Bond driving which we don't know or we cannot do; we see in sten gun soldiers shoot unaware of who is shooting whom; yet we get our instincts, which we did not see when the soldiers died but read only in the papers. Visionary effects are powerful and reading effects do not get us to that nerve. I AM NOT TELLING THIS; SIGMUND FREUD DOES IT. K Rajaram IRS 4925
