Look at your prefs settings for the size of the left frame.  What is
it?  Can you tell if the frame is being sized down or is completely
disappearing?  If it is disappearing and you can see that the links
are correct and the same as older versions, then it sounds like a
browser problem where it is reloading with target=_top instead.
