We are having fairly regular problems that appear to be related to users pref files. SquirrelMail will suddenly stop working for one of our users. A common experience is that the user will login and see the menu, but noting in the mailbox column and the message listing area will also be empty.
The problem will go away for the user if we remove their .pref file, but invariably pops up again in the future. We are using SquirrelMail 1.4.2 with Apache 1.3.29, but have been having this problem for the past several versions of SquirrelMail that we have installed. Any advice would be very welcome. I searched the list archives, but could not find anything relevant for "corrupt pref file".
