You didn't mention much about your setup, like how you installed
SquirrelMail, or what platform you were using.  Debian packages have a
funky habbit of using the /etc/hostname file to build the hostname in
SquirrelMail by setting the $domain variable to something like:

 file('/etc/hostname');

I think they add something else in like implode, but I cannot
remember.  This will cause issues if you set your hostname to
mail.mydomain.com.
