Thanks, my problem was not due to Squirrel Mail. It was the problem in SMTP Sever Configuration. Sometime earlier when i setup SMTP server, I was trying to give name to my host as 'mail' to server as mail server. That was causing the problem.
I reinstalled and configured SMTP server, IMAP server. This solved the Problem.
