After having installed SM and checking out it's feature list, I have q few question regarding a practical deployment approach:
1) The mail server POP/IMAP is installed on a separate server while the SM Webmail is to be installed on another server in a DMZ. In this case, do the mail users have to be recreated on the SM webmail server? How is the authentication handled here? Is it standard Uni*x /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow? Or can it authenticate directly against the IMAP server?
2) Do the users home directories have to created for webmail user on the SM server for the folders?
3) Any performance suggestions.
