I need to amend my steps above to include that the tool bars must be
turned on when firefox starts up. So if your tool bars are off when
firefox starts up, and you turn them on, this bug does not occur.

I'm seeing this problem all the time with Hardy.

Currently the most recent version in the repository is

I've tried with this update and it still has the same Illegal

Ok something a bit odd here.
I removed mjpegtools and then re-installed.
This picked up mjpegtools_1.9.0-0.0ubuntu3_i386.deb again but now it
appears to work.

If you guys would actually read the bug report, it is already mentioned
there is a working 32-bit version. The issue for anyone who wants to
help with this is that the version that works uses GCC < 4.3 that
shipped with Jaunty, and it has not worked with new compilers yet.
