It's strange that the gnome-screensaver (bug 49222) and gksu / gksudo do not use the same dialog mechanisms. I think a bigger bug is that they should both use the same code. I tried reporting it at Gnome. This bug ( http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=537486 ) was listed as "not a gtk bug".
