When using the configure display settings to rotate the LCD screen to
portrait mode by selecting the left option the mouse dispears in some
cases.
Specifically one case in firefox hovering over the minimize window, Un-

I can also confirm this bug. I also have a HP 8510w, and upgraded from
8.04 to 8.10. This causes the same issue described above.

8.10 worked perfectly, 9.04 upgrade failed after the reboot so I burned
a CD and stared form scratch, however it fails with the progress bar 1/8
of the way along at boot.

I tested ET Quake Wars and it minimizes but then pops open again in 2-3 seconds
and the keys and mouse continue to work.

options for my Dell 1703fpt, both of which cause the monitor to flicker.
I checked with the monitors spec and it can only support up to 1280x1024

This happens to me too, it's hardly Invalid. I've tried restarting using
File->Quit, and also clicking the 'Restart' button the bar displays.
Neither make the notification go away.

I've had the same issues since that infamous update. Crackling ALSA (in
_all_ application) and the hang on shutdown after the update.
Everything worked great before the update.
